Covid19 precautions

What Goodwill is doing to protect our shoppers and donors from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

  • Our stores and other facilities are cleaned daily.
  • We are following CDC guidelines for social distancing at our store check-out lanes and at our donation sites.
  • Frequent touch points are now being sanitized even more often.
  • We’re spraying all hard lines (items that aren’t cloth) with a disinfectant.
  • We offer sanitizing tissues for shopping carts.
  • Team members are asked not to come to work if they or a family member are sick.
While this may mean we have fewer team members on duty, those that are present are likely to be well.

What you can do to protect yourself and others

  • USE RESPIRATORY ETIQUETTE and HAND HYGIENE.  Use tissues when coughing or sneezing or cough/sneeze into your upper arm if necessary.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizers when soap and water are not available.
  • CLEAN YOUR PHONE OFTEN.
  • Avoid shaking hands or hugging.

The health and safety of our customers, donors and team members is our top priority. Based on the guidance we’ve received from various health agencies and our own preparedness, we are confident our stores continue to be safe. We will continue to monitor this rapidly evolving situation, taking direction from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
