Bell of the Ball

We’re curating free fashion to empower young women to look and feel their best, celebrating their individuality with a collection of styles and sizes they can wear with confidence.

But the dress is just the beginning. Our helpful team members will also introduce these young women to career development opportunities and pathways to a rewarding and successful future—whatever they choose to pursue.

In 2003, the Belle of the Ball Project was lovingly founded as a nonprofit providing prom and homecoming dresses to high-school girls in the Tampa Bay area and surrounding counties.

The core belief behind the organization was that “no girl should be denied the opportunity to attend her high school dance because of financial difficulties.”

We’re very pleased to announce that Goodwill-Suncoast is carrying on the Belle of the Ball legacy!

We will continue to provide free prom, homecoming, and formal event gowns for young women who may not be able to afford them.

The Belle Boutique at our Gandy location in St. Petersburg has thousands of new and gently-loved dresses in a wide variety of sizes and colors.

To Donate a Dress

Dresses for Belle of the Ball may be donated to any Goodwill-Suncoast store or directly to 16432 US Hwy 19 N in Clearwater, attn: Belle of the Ball. Unfortunately we are only able to accept donations of dresses. We cannot accept shoes, purses or other accessories at this time. However, if you would like to donate these items to your local Goodwill, you would still be greatly helping our local communities!
