An innovative program that provides work experience

to students with disabilities

The Project SEARCH High School Transition Program in Ocala is currently a partnership between Goodwill-Suncoast, Marion County Schools, Vocational Rehabilitation and Hilton Ocala.

Rather than attending classes on a high school campus, the enrolled students report to work. They are monitored and assisted by a Goodwill-Suncoast job coach, an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher from the school district and employees of the company where they are working. The goal of the program is to prepare students to eventually enter the workforce. After completing rotations on the job, the students receive employment placement services from Goodwill.
