JOB, EDUCATION & TRAINING
for High School students

Goodwill’s JET Program offers the opportunity for high school students with disabilities to prepare for employment and obtain work experience through paid on-the-job training.

The JET program is operated and managed by Goodwill-Suncoast in partnership with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Marion and Pinellas County schools and host sites.

THE JET PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN PINELLAS, CITRUS AND MARION COUNTIES: 

After School
4-6 p.m. at Least 2 days a week
Summer
2 weeks, 20 hours per week, 9 a.m.– 1:30 p.m.,
1 week pre-employment and 1 week on-the-job training
Employment coach on site throughout.
Student led internships
1 week pre-employment classes - 20 hours 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Multiple weeks paid on-the-job-training 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Employment coach not present at all times.
Students may attend multiple programs.


JET Certified logo

The newest segment of our JET program is called JET Certified. The program is for students and adults with learning difficulties or career obstacles. It offers paid, hands-on experience leading toward certification in Hospitality, Food Service and Retail careers. The program is currently offered in Marion and Citrus counties.
