Goodwill Industries-Suncoast, Inc. announces the grand opening celebration for a superstore in Sebring on the weekend of Aug. 20 and 21. The store is next to Winn Dixie in Sebring Square Mall, 420 Sebring Square.

Grand opening festivities will include hourly drawings for Goodwill gift cards throughout the weekend. Doughnuts will be served to early bird shoppers on Saturday. Store hours are 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

This is the tenth new store Goodwill-Suncoast has opened in West Central Florida since 2001. The 33,000-square-foot store will be stocked with donated clothing, furniture and household items, as well as a wide variety of brand-new products. It will employ approximately 30 people.

The store’s drive-through donation lane on the south side of the store will give area residents a place to easily drop off items they no longer need, contributing to a greener community while supporting Goodwill-Suncoast’s services to people in West Central Florida.

The new store will serve as a hub for Goodwill’s childhood literacy program, BookWorks, in which volunteers read to children from low-income families and then present a book for each child to take home.

Successful stores are critical to Goodwill’s mission, as retail revenue supports the agency’s many human services.
